While Victor is missing, Victoria’s parents have chosen to marry
her off to a dubious distant relative, Barkis Bittern. When Victor
returns with the Corpse Bride in tow, Victoria watches in horror.
Realizing that Victor belongs with Victoria, the Corpse Bride lets him
go and accepts that he is not part of her destiny. As the Corpse Bride
leaves the church, she turns one last time and throws her bouquet to
Victoria.
